Masters Level Clinician

Navigating the challenges that keep us stuck and off balance can be overwhelming and exhausting. Having support on this journey can make all of the difference. My goal is to provide a comfortable and safe environment for individuals to identify their struggles and begin to utilize their strengths and positive attributes. I believe when people feel connected, seen and valued, they become empowered to move towards wellness and positive change. I consider it a privilege to engage in this process with my clients.

I am passionate about working with tweens and teens. I provide a space for them to be heard and validated as they struggle to work through areas that can be overwhelming.   Perfectionism, anger, self-esteem, family dynamics, social skills, anxiety and depression are all difficulties that many adolescents face. Advocating for this population and empowering them to develop healthy coping skills and understanding their emotions is what I love most about my work! I utilize creative methods such as creating collages, writing, and music to provide opportunities for my teens to find their voice to identify and express their emotions and needs.

I strive to meet each individual ‘s unique concerns utilizing a holistic approach that includes genuine connection, compassion, and evidence based interventions. I aim to create a supportive environment for individuals to be free to explore their challenges, patterns, resiliency, and goals.

I received my Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. My Bachelor of Science Degree is from St. Joseph’s College, in General and Special Education. I am a member of the American Counseling Association.

I would love to connect with you and have the opportunity to see if my approach can fulfill your needs. Feel free to email me at heather@restorationcounselingfl.com.
